This is a story, based on a theory that all stories tell the same tale - of a hero's journey. This book takes the reader on Bella's search to find comfort and acceptance in a nonconforming social identity; teaching that stereotypes can be damaging, and also that young minds have the power to define their futures, in spite of societal roles and social pressure.
